The ZL2006 is an innovative digital power conversion and management IC that combines an efficient, synchronous DC-DC buck converter, adaptive MOSFET drivers and key power and thermal management functions in a 6 x 6 mm package. The ZL2006 extends the efficiency capabilities of the Digital-DC product family with several new proprietary performance-optimizing algorithms that maximize efficiency over widely varying system conditions. The ZL2006 automatically adapts its’ performance characteristics to increase operating efficiency of the system when the load levels drop without sacrificing the peak efficiency at heavy loads. This functionality is achieved with no additional components or user interaction. Current sharing between devices is achieved using a single-pin Digital-DC communication bus, enabling the same device to be used across a wide range of applications. The ZL2006 can be used with other Digital-DC devices to provide a complete power design for complex systems requiring multiple power domains, sequencing, and fault management.

The ZL2006’s adaptive intelligence enables
high efficiency over the entire load spectrum
in a highly compact power solution.
