The ZL2004* is an innovative digital power conversion and management IC that combines an efficient, synchronous DC-DC buck converter, adaptive PWM control, and key power and thermal management functions in a 5 x 5 mm package. The ZL2004 is optimized for use with a wide range of driver/FET ICs and power train modules, enabling the same controller IC to be used across a wide range of applications. The ZL2004 automatically adapts its’ performance characteristics to increase operating efficiency of the system when the load levels drop without sacrificing the peak efficiency at heavy loads. This functionality is achieved with no additional components or user interaction. Current sharing between devices is achieved using a singlepin Digital-DC communication bus, enabling the same device to be used across a wide range of applications. The ZL2004 can be used with other Digital-DC devices to provide a complete power design for complex systems requiring multiple power domains, sequencing and fault management.
