Zilker Labs was founded in 2003 by semiconductor industry veterans who applied unique mixed-signal techniques to resolve the issues with implementing board-level power. A team of mixed-signal semiconductor and power experts was assembled to implement the company’s unique patented architecture.
Zilker Labs’ first product, the ZL2005 Step-down DC-DC Controller, was introduced in October 2005. This product was hailed for its high efficiency and ease of use, and quickly generated widespread interest among customers as well as press and industry analysts. In mid-2006, the company added the ZL2105 3A Integrated Step-down DC-DC Converter to its offering, which complements the higher-power ZL2005 by addressing applications requiring less than 3A. Zilker Labs continues to roll out innovative Digital-DC products. In February 2008 Zilker Labs introduced the next generation of the Digital-DC product family, that includes the ZL2004, ZL2006, ZL1505 and ZL2106. The industry’s most adaptive DC-DC power controllers for maximizing efficiency in power-constrained applications.

Primary product design, development and marketing activities are centered at the company headquarters. Zilker Labs’ growing employee base today includes 40 employees who have over 21 years average experience across all areas of semiconductor, power and business management and growth.
Zilker Labs Asia, Ltd., in Hong Kong, is specifically focused on supporting the company’s customers in the Asia/Pacific region.
